Carrie Sherwood is originally from Lake Charles, LA and moved to Baton Rouge to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Biology at LSU, graduating in 2016. She then went on to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at LSUHSC-New Orleans in 2020. She recently moved to Lafayette (summer of 2023) with her husband, daughter, and pets to further her career advancement while focusing on her specialty, pelvic floor. She was initially interested in this field while working as a physical therapy technician prior to school, which led to her completing a rotation in this field and then becoming certified in pelvic floor physical therapy. She loves all aspects of her career, but felt more connected to the pelvic floor side after having her daughter. She is looking forward to serving her new community and in her spare time she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and renovating her house.
