What & How We Treat
Muscle Tension & and Tightness
Our therapists may use techniques including stretching exercises, massage, or manual therapy to relieve muscle tension and tightness (especially in the neck and shoulder areas).
Disc Pathology
Treatment includes targeted exercises designed to improve spine mobility and stability – as well as posture correction and manual techniques that relieve pressure on the affected discs.
Restricted Neck Motion
Our therapists may utilize joint mobilizations and soft tissue techniques to relieve stiffness and increase mobility in the neck. Helpful exercises and stretching techniques may also be recommended.
Poor Posture
Posture can often be the cause of headaches. Our therapists can assess and correct your posture issues by recommending exercises and ergonomic solutions, which can help alleviate strain on your neck and shoulders.
Tightness in the Upper Back
Tightness in your upper back (and specifically between your shoulder blades) often contributes to headaches. We’ll teach you stretching and strengthening exercises to relieve pain as well as improve your upper back mobility.
Patient Education
Our therapists can help you learn about helpful lifestyle modifications, ergonomics, and self-management strategies to prevent and manage headaches. We can also provide guidance on proper body mechanics, relaxation techniques, and exercises for you to do at home.
